MESSAGES FROM OUR CHARITY PARTNERS
BBC Children in Need
Simon Antrobus, Chief Executive of BBC Children in Need, said: “We’re delighted to be a beneficiary of CarFest and extremely grateful to everyone who has bought tickets for this wonderful family-friendly festival. The donations we receive from the event will help us to continue to change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people around the UK. Everyone at the charity is really looking forward to CarFest’s return in 2021 and we hope that as many ticketholders as possible will be able to join us next year instead.”
Zillah Bingley, Chief Executive of Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity says: “We are so grateful for the support of each and every CarFester – your money makes such a difference to the seriously ill children and families we support. These vulnerable families are in more need of our practical and emotional support than ever before. The ticket proceeds and money raised from CarFest will help go towards securing the future of Rainbow Trust during these very uncertain times so that we can continue to be here for so many families in desperate need.”
Starlight Children’s Foundation
With the help of CarFest, Starlight is still able to support NHS nurses and play specialists on the frontline. We reach over 1.3m children in hospitals and hospices each year providing play and distraction services, days out, parties and wish granting. We can only do this with the support of the amazing people who attend Car Fest. Stay safe, see you soon and thank you.
Teenage Cancer Trust
Kate Collins, Chief Executive of Teenage Cancer Trust said: “Carfest has become a real highlight of the Teenage Cancer Trust calendar. To date, it’s raised a staggering £250,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust, making a huge difference to the lives of young people with cancer. We’re so grateful for the support of Chris and the whole Carfest crew. Like everyone else we’re really sad that Carfest has had to be postponed, but it’s for completely the right reasons. We’ll be back next year, ready to make it the best festival yet!
“Cancer isn’t stopping for Coronavirus and neither is Teenage Cancer Trust. We rely on donations for all our work but sadly many of our fundraising events, like Carfest, have been cancelled or postponed. Our income this year could drop by as much as 50% this year-right at the time when young people with cancer are feeling more isolated than ever and have never needed us more.”
Ellen MacArthur Trust
By supporting CarFest you are continuing to help young people rebuild their lives after cancer. Once their treatment is over, a young person’s confidence needs transforming as they try to rediscover their place in the world. This is what you are helping the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust achieve, you are giving young people their future back. And this has never been more vital. Young people currently going through cancer treatment, or who are shielding due to compromised immune systems, will need the Trust more than ever once the pandemic is over. We have to be here for them. On behalf of every young person we support, and everyone who is going to need us in 2021 and beyond, we cannot say thank you enough.
