Is CarFest accessible for the disabled?
We welcome all visitors to CarFest and want to make everyone’s visit as enjoyable as possible. We have various facilities for disabled visitors and these include:
- Disabled parking for day visitors located as close to the entrance as possible
- Disabled parking and camping sites located as close to eachother as possible and also close to the entrance
- Disabled toilets – located in the car park, the campsite and on the festival site
- Disabled showers in the campsite
- Viewing platform for the main stage. Access to this will be on a first come first served basis.
Please be aware that the event is on grass. Check out this very helpful guide for disabled festival go-ers if you haven’t done so already.
If you are disabled you are entitled to a free carer ticket for CarFest. Please apply for your own ticket in the normal way and once you have completed your purchase you will then see a link to an application page for your carer’s ticket. Please complete this and provide proof that you are in receipt of the middle or higher rate care component of the DLA. A free carer’s ticket, of the same type you have ordered be it weekend, weekend camping or day, will be added to your order and posted to you along with the other tickets before the event.
If you have any specific queries please contact us at info@carfest.org
What is the maximum number of tickets I can buy?
It is CarFest policy that no more than 10 tickets may be purchased by any one household, identified by house number and postcode. If anyone attempts buy more than this number the order will be cancelled and the tickets put back on sale.
Is the event suitable for small children?
Many young children came and enjoyed CarFest in 2012 - some of them enjoying live music for the first time on the shoulders of their parents. A great sight to behold. However, there are some precautions you may wish to take to ensure that it is an enjoyable experience for you all.
The Hill Climb will feature Formula 1 cars which are very loud. If you are intent on watching these from close quarters we would recommend using ear protection on children for their own comfort. Likewise it is not recommended that young children get too close to the sound systems for the main stage.
The music on each evening will go on until 10pm or 11pm. You should use your judgement and knowledge of your children to determin whether they will find this enjoyable or not.
Are campervans & caravans allowed?
Campervans and caravans will be permitted on an allocated area of the site. Numbers will be limited and you will need to buy a ‘Caravan or Campervan’ permit IN ADDITION to your camping ticket. There is a £10 charge for this. These will be available when tickets go on sale. If you do not buy this specific ticket you will not be allowed to bring your campervan or caravan for camping at CarFest.
Pitches are 9m x 7m. Specific plots will be allocated upon arrival. We would ask guests to please respect the allocated 9m x 7m pitch, although of course we understand there may be instances where vehicles exceed these dimensions slightly.
For caravanners please note that you will be required to park your car in the car park and NOT next to your caravan.
Can I park at CarFest?
Car parking is available to all festival ticket-holders. Spaces will be allocated by stewards upon arrival; there is no need to book. The parking areas are located within the festival site and are professionally managed. There is also 24 hour security on-site, which includes regular patrols of the parking areas. All types of vehicle are permitted in the parking areas, including motorbikes and live-in vehicles, although it is not permitted to sleep in live-in vehicles in the parking areas.
Can I bring my bicycle to CarFest?
There are no specific cycle-parking facilities, although there will be fencing to which you may secure your bike. We are unable to take responsibility for cycles secured in this way.
How can I claim my free carer's ticket to CarFest?
If you are disabled you are entitled to a free carer ticket for CarFest. Once you purchased your own ticket, you should have seen a link to an application page for your carer’s ticket. On completion, which requires proof that you are in receipt of the middle or higher rate care component of the DLA, a free carer’s ticket will have been added to your order and will be posted to you along with the other tickets. Your free carer’s ticket will be exactly the same type you have ordered for yourself, be it weekend without camping, weekend with camping, or a day ticket. If you did not complete this process, you can email the team on info@carfest.org and we can resend you the link
Can I buy/sell tickets on Ebay?
We limit the number of tickets people can purchase and as such hope to minimise the chances of them being resold. The terms of sale state that tickets cannot be transferred, exchanged, refunded or returned. We hope these measures, as well as the spirit of the event, will discourage people from re-selling tickets to CarFest. We would strongly discourage you from buying tickets on ebay for elevated prices. We reserve the right to carry out spot checks and may ask for I.D. at the gate.
Can I refund/exchange my ticket?
As stated in the terms and conditions of sale, once purchased, tickets cannot be transferred, exchanged, refunded or returned unless the event is cancelled, moved to another date, or if details of the event are significantly changed.

Those with a caravan/campervan permit will be allocated 9m x 7m pitches. Specific plots will be allocated upon arrival. We would ask guests to please respect the allocated 9m x 7m pitch, although of course we understand there may be instances where vehicles exceed these dimensions slightly.
There are no specific plot sizes in the main camp site but we would ask guests to please be considerate when pitching tents. Although there are no specific pitch sizes, you should arrange your tents in such a way to minimise the space you use. If you are using an unreasonable amount of space you may be asked to re-pitch or take some tents down.
As is the way at all festivals you should expect to camp close to your neighbours - you're almost certain to get on.
Please don't try to reserve space for others, if you wish to camp with others please meet in the car park and enter the camp site together.
