Got a query about CarFest? Please take a look at our FAQs below and hopefully we will answer your question!
CarFest South 2015 takes place from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th August 2015 at Laverstoke Park Farm, Overton, Hampshire
Please observe our festival policy below:
Please do NOT bring any of the following onto any part of the CarFest Site, including car parks and campsites - glass bottles, BBQs, open fires, Chinese lanterns, illegal substances of any kind, dogs except Assistance Dogs
Please do NOT bring any alcohol onto the festival site, a small quantity may be brought into the campsites.
We reserve the right to refuse admission or to evict any person from CarFest for drunkenness, unruly behaviour or for breaking any of these conditions.
No under 18s will be admitted without a responsible adult.
We will be taking photographs and filming this event. By entering the event you consent to your image being used in any future CarFest promotion. If you do not wish your image to be used please go the Organisers Office or speak to the photographer/camera team at the time.
We’re sorry if any of your personal property is lost or damaged whilst at CarFest. Neither the organisers, venue owner or BBC Children in Need can be held responsible.
A minimum of 25% of the price of each ticket sold goes to BBC Children in Need (registered charity number 802052, England & Wales, SC039557, Scotland), plus all further profits from the running of CarFest.
In 2014 CarFest raised a staggering £1.5 million for BBC Children in Need. We'd like to thank everyone who contributed to that figure by purchasing tickets, auctioning for cars, buying the t-shirt and handing over all of your loose change!
Many young children have enjoyed the CarFest events - many of them enjoying live music for the first time on the shoulders of their parents. A great sight to behold. However, there are some precautions you may wish to take to ensure that it is an enjoyable experience for you all.
The Hill Climb may feature Formula 1 and other cars which are very loud. If you are intent on watching these from close quarters we would recommend using ear protection on children for their own comfort. Likewise it is not recommended that young children get too close to the sound systems for the main stage.
The music on each evening will go on until 10pm or 11pm. You should use your judgement and knowledge of your children to determine whether they, and therefore you, will find this enjoyable or not.
For hygiene and safety reasons ONLY registered guide dogs will be allowed in any part of CarFest, including the campsite. Dogs cannot be left in vehicles or caravans at any time. Visitors attempting to bring a dog (other than a guide dog) onto the campsite or Festival site will be turned away and no ticket refund will be given.
Volunteering is a really great way to enjoy the festival and you can work with friends, family and will make great new friends whilst you’re here. It’s a great opportunity to be part of the team that helps stage the event and to understand how the event works.
This year we’re very pleased to announce that CarFest will be working in partnership with Festaff who will be organising our volunteering force. We’re looking for friendly, polite and honest individuals to join our team and become part of our fantastic festivals.
To apply for a volunteer position at either CarFest North or South, please visit the Festaff website for more details and follow the application process.
Please note, you must be over 18 years of age to apply. We do allow parents to bring children but they must be accompanied by an adult at all times. We will do our best to allocate parents different separate shift patterns so that one is always available to look after the children as we do not provide any kind of crèche facility. If you wish to volunteer as part of a family group, adults should apply individually through the Festaff website and inform Festaff that they will be bringing children.

Thank you for your cooperation
Campervans, caravans, trailer tents and any other 'sleep in' vehicle will be permitted on an allocated area of the site. Numbers will be limited and you will need to buy a ‘Caravan or Campervan’ permit IN ADDITION to your camping ticket. There is a £25 charge for this. These will be available when tickets go on sale. If you do not buy this specific ticket you will not be allowed to bring your campervan, caravan, trailer tent or other 'sleep in' vehicle for camping at CarFest.
Pitches are 9m x 7m. Specific plots will be allocated upon arrival. We would ask guests to please respect the allocated 9m x 7m pitch, although of course we understand there may be instances where vehicles exceed these dimensions slightly.
For caravanners please note that you will be required to park your car in the car park and NOT next to your caravan.
If you are holding a weekend camping ticket your tickets include Friday, Saturday and Sunday night camping, should you wish to spend the whole weekend with us. Catering and toilet facilities will remain open until Monday morning.
The campsite is open from 7am* on Friday morning until 11am* on Monday morning.
*Please note that all times are subject to change. Final details and timings will be sent out with your tickets and will also be updated on this page.
Those with a caravan/campervan permit will be allocated 9m x 7m pitches. Specific plots will be allocated upon arrival. We would ask guests to please respect the allocated 9m x 7m pitch, although of course we understand there may be instances where vehicles exceed these dimensions slightly.
There are no specific plot sizes in the main camp site but we would ask guests to please be considerate when pitching tents. Although there are no specific pitch sizes, you should arrange your tents in such a way to minimise the space you use. If you are using an unreasonable amount of space you may be asked to re-pitch or take some tents down.
As is the way at all festivals you should expect to camp close to your neighbours - you're almost certain to get on.
Please don't try to reserve space for others, if you wish to camp with others please meet in the car park and enter the camp site together.
The main cark park is next-door to the main campsite. So, depending on where you park and camp, this will incur only a short walk. To help with this, it’s advisable to travel relatively light. You may also bring a trolley or we'll be able to provide you with a hire solution - more information to follow.
Please be aware of the risks of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning. We advise visitors to never use a fuel-burning appliance inside your tent or awning. Even a warm barbecue can be lethal.
For more information on disabled access please visit our information page.
If you are disabled you are entitled to a free carer ticket for CarFest. Once you purchased your own ticket, you should have seen a link to an application page for your carer’s ticket. On completion, which requires proof that you are in receipt of the middle or higher rate care component of the DLA, a free carer’s ticket will have been added to your order and will be posted to you along with the other tickets. Your free carer’s ticket will be exactly the same type you have ordered for yourself, be it weekend without camping, weekend with camping, or a day ticket.
Car parking is available to all festival ticket-holders. Spaces will be allocated by stewards upon arrival; there is no need to book. The parking areas are located within the festival site and are professionally managed. There is also 24 hour security on-site, which includes regular patrols of the parking areas. All types of vehicles are permitted in the parking areas, including motorbikes and live-in vehicles, although it is not permitted to sleep in live-in vehicles in the parking areas.
