The Great Festival Dash

The Great Festival Dash

What is it?

Join Pudsey and a host of familiar faces as we race on the CarFest track in a 2.5km or 5km run. The fun run takes place on the Saturday morning of both events.

Run with your friends, as a family or alone – it's all about getting fit, having fun and raising money for BBC Children in Need.

The family who puts in the most effort with their fancy dress outfit will win 1 x Family ticket to CarFest 2019.

All runners will be invited to take part in a special warm-up before the race and the CarFest Team, along with some celebrity athletes, will be on hand to get you raring to go.

Once you have completed the race all runners will be rewarded with a medal and the CarFest photographer will be on hand throughout to capture the special moments.

Just don't forget to have a big breakfast!

Please note: Due to event timings The Great Festival Dash is open to camping ticket holders only and will take place at 10:00 on Saturday 28 July (CarFest North) and Saturday 25 August (CarFest South).

How do I apply?

Sorry! The Great Festival Dash registration is now closed and we've reached capacity for both North and South! BUT, you can still come down with your bacon sarnie in hand and cheer on all the dashers taking part, we know they'll appreciate your support!

Is your family member or friend dashing?

If you aren't taking part, but you have a friend or loved one who is doing the Great Festival Dash did you know you could donate some money to their dash? Click on the button below and you'll be taken to the donations only page.

Why should I do it?

Every penny raised will go towards supporting disadvantaged children and young people right here in the UK. Here are some examples of how your sponsorship money can help:

£10 pays for a music therapy session at a hospice for children with cancer so that they can have fun and take their mind off their illness.

£20 provides a counselling session for a 16-year-old girl who lost her dad, helping her feel stronger and able to cope with everyday life.

£30 means disabled children can do an indoor surfing session, where they can have fun with their friends and improve their balance and coordination.

The Great Festival Dash wouldn't exist without the support of local running clubs at both North and South
